I would have loved to find something like this when I was starting to learn electronics. Who knows, it could have saved me 10s of thousands of dollars and a ton of time and effort finding legitimate parts. A tall order, since sooo many fakes from overseas make it to the US. Let me get on with trying to list everything. Most Complete Beginner Electronics Component Kit Ever. Take a close look at all the pictures. I tried to get everything featured in at least 1 picture. The kit contains 2 large breadboards one 3 board, one 2 board plus a cpl mini boards that are holding some op amps. There is a full kit of 1% metal film resistors with all common use values. Also a couple bags of allen bradley resistors that are half watt carbon comps, a few carbon film as well. Capacitors, there is a ton of different types and values. There are small wima mkp mkt types, theres cornell film. Nichicon electrolytics, kemet tantalum axials, a huge asst. Of low puff ceramic type. Some sangamo, and cornell brand silver mica. Maybe some Elna electrolytic caps is about the only’no name’ brand thats in the lot. If an electrolytic doesnt have a name emblazoned on the side, its panasonic it has an (M) logo. There is a bag of inductor goodness. Some rf radio type adjustable coils. Some power inductors for dc/dc converter usage (some dc/dc converter ICs are included as well). I have put in some ferrites, both leaded and bead. An audio transformer and a power transformer are also in the mix. And a couple torroid chokes, for good measure. Diodes, there is a full assortment bag containing, 1n4148, 4007, fr107, fr207, 1n5819, 1n5399, 1n5822, 1n5408 -between 5 and 25 of ea. (This, along w the assortment of ceramic low pf value, are of unknown origin) Zener diodes included are 2v4, 6v8, 10v, 12v maybe some 22v as well. I have put it several different types. Knurled knob, tapered knob. Linear taper, logarithmic taper. Few old school rheostats in there, and a ceramic 1ohm rheostat (ohmite). Single turn, with a fair amount of 10 turn in there as well. Pcb mount (breadboardable), panel mount, chassis mount. Single pole double pole. On to the actives. The transistors are a bit of a varied mix. Theres at least a handful of 2n2222 and 2n2907 metal can, jantx, a couple 2n2219, 2n5089, 2n3906, bfy90, u309 jfets, some 2646 and bt339 unijunction transistors, a couple npn germanium transistors and a couple pnp germanium ones as well, so you can make some fuzz boxes or use them as detectors in a radio circuit. MosFets: to220s and to247s high current ones, high voltage ones, fast switch ones. Jfet: n channel, p channel: switching, rf, general amplification ones. (A couple smt even, mounted already). For all these components, you will need a way to check whats what, at times when the internet doesnt give you a clear idea. Gota be able to test voltage and current (not at the same time, of course). 4000 series 7400 series. From lm358 324, to lm301 lm308. Opa1612 lt1213 lt1490 lt1361 lt164 and more! I mustnt forget the beloved 555 timer. A handful or 2 of the regular ones, and a couple cmos versions as well. I somehow didnt save the past 5 paragraphs I had originally typed. So, those couple ones above this, were paraphrased a lot. It will have a lot of the same. I was making up… The sine VCO from AN262, App Note 13s (linear tech) VCOs. A couple fuzz/music circuits (adsr, variable filter and VGA) a 555 switchmode “supply” to test zeners and another 4093 pwm circuit to drive LEDs using a fet, powered battery and solar panel. And soooo much more. Also, I have a couple speakers in the box, a couple small DC motors, a couple stepper motors, a couple buzzers. Some jumpers and Alligator clip leads. A couple of everything! I could literally go on typing another 15 paragraphs about everything. But, even then I would still be missing on a bunch of the items here. This would be ideal for a beginner into the hobby, or a student in the EE field, or even a maker who is just wanting to expand their parts bins. I can guarantee that you will be 100% happy with whats contained within. As the pictures are limited to 12, and theres no way I could ever get it all, this listing is a bit of a MYSTERY BOX… But, its one I know you will be satisfied with. So long as you’re into electronics.. I doubt youd be here reading still if not.. Especially if were talkin Radioshack.. Along with all this, I will gladly help with anything I can. Whether its replacing a part you find is dead in a couple months…. Or even help with the fundamentals, I will be more than happy to assist in any way possible. Look at my feedback. I strive to make ppl happy. As long as I’m still breathing, I will gladly square up anything that may skew in time. I will probably add more to the big box and subsequently add more on to this epic novel of a description. Please message with any questions you may have. This is essentially an electronics lab in a box. It is missing the centerpiece of any lab, being an oscilloscope. If you would like, I would give a great deal on either an analog scope, a digital scope, or portable (fluke 92b) scope to go along with the massive amount of components. Thank you for looking, and if you made it this far.. Update: forgot to mention the fair amount of audio chips that has been included in. LM386, lm567, lm380, lm381, ta2822, LM3886 (with amp board- have sound in a snap). Prerequisite connectors (audio plugs and jacks, 3.5mm and 1/4) some RCA connectors and plugs too. Tons not listed too! Update Feb 12th 2023. 1, Happy birthday son. It will ALL be of equal or greater value. It will also contain different op amps, again, of greater value lt1678, lt1211, lt1222, opa627! Opa 2142, ad712, lmh lm and much more! If you would like more of something, less of something else, let me know and I will gladly hook it up!
